It will combine a Level 3 clinic, a university with a research base and a student campus. Mayor Vadym Boichenko told about it in the interview to Sigma TV channel.

According to him, the opening of the Regional Medical Center will allow more than 1 million residents of Mariupol community and the Azov region to receive new quality medical services of European level and perform complex operations in their hometown. The hospital will be able to accept 100,000 patients annually.

The multidisciplinary clinic will employ specialists in the fields of oncology, hematology, endocrinology, mammology, neurosurgery, cardio and vascular surgery to do unique transplant operations and save lives in state-of-the-art resuscitation. This will help attract the best professionals from all over the country and the development of medical tourism.

‘We study the best practices that exist in the world and are ready to apply them in our city. It is very important for me that Mariupol residents have the opportunity to receive the same quality treatment at home as in European countries. The Medical Center will conduct complex operations, for which they are now going to Turkey or Italy,’ Vadym Boichenko said.

The intentions to build a medical center are set out in a memorandum that the municipality signed with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in March this year.
