Today Mariupol City Council has signed guarantee agreements with representatives of Turkish business as part of the creation of an industrial park. This will help to create 600 jobs and attract about UAH 250 million of investments.
The Mayor Vadym Boichenko appreciated the partners for their trust and stressed that Mariupol is the leader in the region in creating safe and transparent conditions for business.
Vadym Boichenko also spoke about key projects being implemented together with European partners. This is the renewal of the municipal park, the creation of conditions for high-quality water supply to residents, the modernization of external lighting and the infrastructural reform of the education sector.
Deputy Mayor Sergei Orlov noted that communication with investors has been going on for two years. And the agreements signed today are a guarantee of investment agreements.
“As part of the implementation of our agreement, seven sites will appear on the territory of the industrial park. They will open an elevator production, a plant for the manufacture of metal structures, auto parts and others. In turn, we will carry out all the necessary communications and the contractor will dismantle the old buildings and build new ones. The production facilities will be located on the territory of the former fish canning plant and will occupy about 6 hectares, ” Serhiy Orlov said.
In turn, the Turkish partners expressed gratitude to the municipality for an active position and reliable cooperation.
“Thank you for trusting us and supporting us. We hope that economic relations between Turkey and Ukraine will continue to develop,” the trade attaché of the Turkish Consulate in Ukraine, Didgle Temizsoy said.
