There has been held a regular meeting of the representatives of the city government with the private haulires in Mariupol. The owners of the vehicles told when they are going to repair minibuses.
Head of the transport planning department Sergei Ostapenko noted that the department of transport and communications carried out inspections of minibuses:
‘The acts on checking each vehicle were drawn up with deadlines for eliminating comments. Among them there are issues concerning sanitary, technical and aesthetic condition of vehicles. In addition, today only 4 carriers have provided repair schedules. Besides, the conductors still do not have badges and identification vests’.
Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov asked the carriers why they do not comply with the agreement. The businessmen answered that they did not know what color of vests to buy and not all had time to draw up a repair schedule. One of the carriers said that he had already placed an order for vests. The form will come in early April.
During the meeting, Sergei Zakharov gave the term to the carriers - by April 10 to have the uniform and the badges. In addition, all repair schedules should be submitted soon.
‘We will conduct regular inspections and monitor the implementation of repair schedules. In case of non-fulfillment of agreements, we will take buses off the line with public activists. The increased fare for transportation primarily requires a higher quality service,’ the Deputy Mayor emphasized.
It is worth noting that there has been held a meeting with carriers before. The owners of minibuses agreed to provide a schedule for bringing vehicles into proper condition and, within two days, give identification vests to conductors.
