The first deputy mayor Mykhailo Kohut has met with the president of French company Beten Ingenierie Jean Roche and French expert on ecology of the beaches and nature parks Phillip Aspitale. They checked the territory of the Let Bank beach and discussed the stages of the reconstruction of the sea front. They shared the plans of realization of the first stage of the project on modernization of the water supply system of Mariupol.
“Each of the beaches has its own peculiarities that will be taken into consideration at work. We will think over all the subtle aspects to accept a great amount of holiday makers”, Jean Roche admitted.
For the time spent in Mariupol, French experts will visit Central, Left Bank and Sandy beaches. They will lead the inspection and represent its project on reconstruction of three beaches.
“Before the arrival, we learnt the examples and experience of the cities of Europe where there is industry and the seashore. Mariupol has a big potential of the tourist development. It is possible to show something special on each beach. For example, it is possible to develop ornithic tourism”, Phillip Aspitale said.
Beten Ingenierie company has been cooperating with Mariupol for several years. It is specialized on infrastructure projects and ecological development. The major project is modernization of the system of water supply of the city that will be realized in 2024.
“At the end of the visit of the delegation, we together with French experts will get ready for the construction of the water treatment plant. The master plan of the project will include the place of water intake, sewer connection, storm water and distribution of technical water. The specialists of French companies will help the city in the expert assessment of the reconstruction of three sea fronts”, Mykhailo Kohut admitted.
The French delegation started the realization of the first stage of the project at this time. The specialists plan to research the water source and to get geological data. The task is to determine the optimal places of water intake and to determine the location for the plant. The work on general plans of the project will be held and technical and economical ground for future water treatment plant will be prepared.
