The results of the population survey in Mariupol were published by the International Republican Institute. Currently, 61% of respondents believe that things in the city go in right direction, 83% of the population are proud of their city and 71% support the activities of the mayor.
The survey was conducted in the city in this September. Respondents were interviewed at their home due to keep the privacy.
According to a survey conducted in the winter of 2016, only 29% believed that things in the city were in the right direction. Already this summer the figure had increased up to 55%, and then it rose by another 6% in the next four months.
The new results show that 83% of Mariupol people are proud of their city today. In comparison with the previous year, this figure has risen by 20%.
According to survey data, 71% of Mariupol citizens support the activities of the mayor. As for comparison, only 48% of the citizens approved the activity of the mayor previous year.
