The Federal Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin have met with OSCE observers during a working visit, they have visited villages near Mariupol and have talked with local residents there.
Pavel Klimkin noted that Heiko Maas's visit to Ukraine is extremely important. It gives an opportunity to discuss many questions regarding the situation in Donbass, the security of citizens and future cooperation.
‘I am very grateful to Heiko and all German friends for the support they are giving to Ukraine and for help with the solution of environmental problems,’ Pavel Klimkin emphasized.
In turn, Heiko Maas thanked for the invitation to Ukraine and Mariupol. He stressed that Germany is ready to support Ukrainians and it watches the development in Ukraine.
‘Ukraine has introduced very strong reforms. The Association Agreement with the European Union has entered into force, a visa was introduced. I was glad to hear the news that a decision on the creation of the Anti-Corruption Court will soon be made. These are very important and correct decisions,’ Heiko Maas said.
