At a meeting of the executive committee a number of working projects aimed at developing the infrastructure of Mariupol have been approved. Among them there was the reconstruction of public facilities and educational institutions. Overhaul of schools and kindergartens, construction of medical block modules and a residential house as well as arrangement of social housing for new Mariupol residents were discussed.
Galina Sheichenko, Head of the Capital Construction Directorate and Natalia Ovcharenko, Head of the Main Directorate of Urban Development and Architecture, made a report on future reformations.
Work projects were approved for the reconstruction of sports grounds with artificial turf at school No. 29 and gymnasium-school No. 1. They also plan to equip the school number 8 in Sartana village with a sports complex. The estimated cost of the projects will be about UAH 5 million.
Deputy Mayor Alexander Kochurin spoke about the plans for the development of sports school centers for the current year.
‘This project has received a positive response from the citizens. Due to the support of FC Shakhtar, we received a financial resource. Sports complexes have already been commissioned at schools No. 58, 56 and 30. By the end of the year, we will have implemented seven more similar projects. As a result, we will update 30% of the school infrastructure,’ Alexander Kochurin said.
Also during the executive committee, they approved a project for the construction of a residential building along Stroiteley Avenue in the Primorsky District. This project provides the dismantling of a two-story house that is in disrepair due to the movement of the ground. It is planned to build a new building or even a housing complex.
It was decided to develop project documentation for possible renovations for 2020. The list consists of more than 20 objects. The plans will be developed for the implementation of the reconstruction of embankments in the Left Bank and Primorsky districts, the overhaul of kindergarten number 32, sports schools 2, 10 and 40.
This solution will enable the development of project documentation. According to its results, the most important and necessary objects for reconstruction will be selected. Their implementation will be possible after discussion with residents of Mariupol at public hearings.
