These services will be available in the renovated Left Bank Center for Social Rehabilitation for Children with Disabilities. Representatives of UNDP came to see the working process.
The roof has already been replaced in the building, the facade has been renewed and insulated. The plans include equipping a playground, landscaping the surrounding area and installing a new fence.
If earlier less than 100 children could undergo rehabilitation, then after the overhaul they plan to take almost twice as many - about 200. There will be more opportunities for rehabilitation. They will introduce a day stay service, equip labor workshops and purchase a specialized car for the comfortable transportation of children with disabilities. In addition, an inclusive playground will be set up on the territory of the center.
‘For us, the key is to improve the lives of people, first of all, those of temporarily displaced persons. Therefore, we support projects for the reconstruction of social infrastructure. Left Bank Rehabilitation Center is one of them,’ Ihor Kistenev-Kavkazsky, head of the technical support group for the Emergency Credit Program for the Recovery of Ukraine said.
It is planned to complete the repair work by the end of this year.
