The deputies hear Mariupol draft budget for 2019

Today the Deputy Day has been held in Mariupol  and it has been devoted to the budget proposal  for the next year. Mayor Vadim Boichenko and his deputies told about the plan to distribute the city budget in 2019. The development budget will be UAH 2 billion 225 million that is for 1 billion more than this year.

According to the Mayor Vadim Boichenko, the revenue side of the project, excluding transfers, is UAH 3 billion 144 million. Compared to 2018, it has increased by UAH 430 million. The increase in revenues will come from revenues from income, land, unified and excise taxes.

‘Large business continues to register in the city. Due to the taxes that started to come from the main office of Metinvest and FC Shakhtar, Mariupol has received an additional resource for development. Our partners believe in us and are ready to invest in the development of Mariupol,’
Vadim Boichenko stressed.

The Mayor also noted that donor funds are being attracted for the effective development of the city. There are ongoing negotiations with investors. Thus, the French government is ready to allocate funds to solve the problem of water supply in Mariupol. And the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will help the city solve internal logistics problems. The draft budget for 2019 provides for UAH 842.5 million of loan funds.

‘The development budget for 2019 consists of the city’s own funds and attracted loans. The key point is that all credit funds are allocated to the city on favorable terms. It all fits in favorably with the City Development Strategy until 2021, according to which we are developing two key areas - utilities and municipal services,’
the Mayor of Mariupol stressed.

After the deputy mayor told in detail about the projects in their areas. The draft budget will also be reviewed by deputy commissions and after that it will be submitted to the session.
