At the session of the City Council, the deputies have agreed to the utilities of Mariupol to conclude two loan agreements. With their help, it is planned to implement important infrastructure projects that solve problems with the development of transport and the network of outdoor lighting.

Mariupol tram-trolleybus management is planning to conclude with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. They provide for the allocation of funds in the amount of EUR 13 million. They are needed to upgrade the trolley park. It is also planned to purchase new low-floor trolleybuses, reconstruct the depot and carry out a major overhaul of the contact network.

It is worth noting that Mariupol has already signed a loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The loan is EUR 12.5 million.

Due to the work of Mariupol with international financial institutions IFC and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), this year it is planned to purchase 64 buses and 72 trolleybuses. The total planned investment in the development of urban transport is more than EUR 30 million. This amount includes EBRD loans (EUR 13 million), E5P (EUR 3 million) and IFC (EUR 12.5 million). A grant from the Clean Technology Foundation (EUR 2 million) is also highlighted. Credits and loans are provided on favorable terms.

Gorsvet is planning to conclude the second contract with the European Investment Bank. Funds in the amount of more than EUR 17 million will be directed to the reconstruction of the outdoor lighting network. This is a complete replacement for modern LED lighting, wires, brackets, control cabinets and outdoor lighting control systems throughout the city.
