Vaccination against COVID-19 is being continued in Mariupol. At this stage, residents of Mariupol over 80 years old and representatives of the education sector are vaccinated. Vaccination takes place on the basis of Primary Health Care Centers No. 2 and 5. In total, about a thousand people were vaccinated in Mariupol. Kateryna Borodina, family doctor of the primary health care center No. 2, spoke about this.
‘Vaccinations are carried out voluntarily. Residents of Mariupol are informed by telephone about the possibility of being vaccinated. After that, they talk about the procedure for preparation, conduct and observation. Consent for vaccination is completed. Each patient is examined by a doctor. Then he is vaccinated. Within half an hour after the procedure, he is monitored by medical staff for the possibility of developing adverse reaction,’ Kateryna Borodina said.
In order to develop a stable immunity, you need to be vaccinated twice. Re-vaccination must be done after 90 days. The vaccine used has passed two stages of tesing and is safe.
One of those who received the coronavirus vaccine was Svitlana Rudkovska, a nurse at the city lyceum. As part of her work, she often contacts students.
‘I have had COVID-19, but you can still get infected again. I don’t want to risk my health. I think it is necessary to get vaccinated. People should understand that this helps to protect them from possible serious complications,’ Svitlana said.
In addition, residnets of Mariupol have an opportunity to get vaccinated earlier. One vial is designed for 10 doses of vaccine, which must be used withim 6 hours after opening. If there are unused doses left, vaccination is offered to those who left the application. This can be done in several ways; through the attending physician, on the online portals of the Ministry of Health and ‘Diya’, as well as by calling: (067) 795-62-09.
All medical staff administering vaccinations have been trained. They were told in what conditions to store the vaccine, how to vaccinate, draw up a patient roadmap and optimize work.
