41 issues have been considered at the meeting of the executive committee in Mariupol. The key topics were the approval of fair trade zones, work projects, the allocation of social housing and a report on the implementation of the city budget for 2019. Director of the Finance Department of Mariupol City Council, Yekaterina Kalenik, made an analysis of budgetary components over the past year.
Thus, official transfers, own budget revenues and personal incomes became key indicators of budget filling. In total, the amount of budget revenues amounted to about UAH 5.5 billion - this is 340 million more than in 2018. The lion's share of the increase was due to the income of individuals.
Mayor Vadym Boichenko emphasized that the city received an additional financial resource due to the re-registration of a number of enterprises in Mariupol.
He added that the key to the development of the city should be a detailed economy: ‘Every employed Mariupol resident is a full-fledged participant in the development of the city. If the economy is detailed as much as possible, the city will receive an additional development budget. So, we are implementing even more projects to repair schools, hospitals and parks. Infrastructure development will become an activator for the growth of small and medium-sized businesses. The main thing is that we can create comfortable living conditions for the city residents’.
