More than 500 million UAH is planned to be allocated from the city budget for the development of transport infrastructure in 2020. It was told by Deputy Mayor Sergei Zakharov. Among them there were road repairs and the acquisition of a new municipal transport.
‘About UAH 10 million will be used to purchase special equipment for the maintenance of the road network. In particular, a new paver will be acquired,’ Sergey Zakharov said.
He added that it is planned to pave the roads in more than 90 yards. Almost UAH 50 million are planned to be allocated for it. Five million hryvnias are offered to be allocated for the overhaul of the stop pavilions. At the same time, 12 new stops will be established.
Next year, they will focus on the overhaul of roads and sidewalks. One of the key projects will be the repairs of the Embankment: it is planned to carry out work on laying a new pavement and curbstone, make a dividing strip and install a fence. Over UAH 120 million will be allocated for this.
Other projects include overhaul of part of the roads along Mira Avenue (from Levanevsky Street to Stroiteley Avenue) and along Stroiteley Avenue (from Chernomorsky Lane to Mira Avenue).
The director of PU ‘Mariupolavtodor’ Dmitry Chuchmay added that they plan to complete robots along Mira Avenue (from Grecheskaya St. to Torgovaya) and part of Pobedy Avenue: ‘In addition, we want to carry out ongoing repairs of the Builders Avenue - from Chernomorsky Lane to Bakhchivanji Str. as weel as to carry out work in Kurchatovo microdistrict’.
Besides, all the traffic lights of the city transferred to the balance sheet of the enterprise. Next year they plan to allocate about UAH 8 million for these purposes.
Sergey Zakharov recalled that next year it is expected to supply 72 trolleybuses purchased in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. For attracted funds from foreign partners, the reconstruction of the depot will start.
