Mariupol school number 47 has been changed beyond recognition. A large-scale reconstruction has breathed new life into the educational institution. In addition to the repair works of the building, a unique sports ground was built here. Its opening was attended by Mayor Vadim Boichenko and People's Deputy of Ukraine Vadim Novinskiy.
There are football and basketball fields with artificial turf, multi-purpose universal playground, volleyball court and 100-meter treadmill with rubber coating. This is how the new sports complex looks. The project cost is more than UAH 16.5 million.
Children are very enthusiastic in sports on the new simulators and play football. Last week, a school sports contest began on the basis of the educational institution.
Vadim Boichenko and Vadim Novinskiy appreciated the sports ground. Honored guests even scored the first goal in the pitch.
Vadim Novinskiy asked if the field was protected from vandals. The principal of the school, Nina Vorobey, emphasized that CCTV cameras were installed around the perimeter and the field will be lit in the evening.
At the same time, the director of the educational institution noted that the sports ground is not only the center of sports but also the cultural leisure of residents. It is planned to hold regional holidays and contests here.
