On the eve of ‘Gogolfest’ the Arch of the City Garden has been decorated with the symbol of the festival of modern art. Thus, the organizers of the event decided to mark the main location of the most striking cultural event of this spring.
Nikolai Gogol is the symbol of the festival. Therefore, his giant mask will welcome guests to numerous concerts.
Technical director of ‘Gogolfest’ festival Ruslan Kalmykov said that the approximate size of the mask is three by three meters. It is made of metal rod and weighs about 40 kg. Masters and artists of the Kolo art group, who have been participating in the festival for several years, created it for Mariupol.
The organizers do not exclude the possibility that after the festival the mask will remain in Mariupol.It is worth mentioning, ’Gogolfest’ festival will be held from April 26 to May 1.
