A solemn event on the occasion of the graduation of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has taken place today on Freedom Square. 70 graduates were awarded diplomas by honorary guests, including Deputy Mayor Arkady Meshkov, Head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Region Nikolay Semenishin, Head of the Department of Information and Analytical Support of the National Police of Ukraine Oleksandr Kling, law enforcement officers, deputies and representatives of the clergy.
‘Being a policeman is prestigious. This profession requires courage, strength, time, but it should always be proud of it. Today your service begins, let you become experts in your field despite all the obstacles. The municipality will always support joint projects with law enforcement officers. Together we will continue to maintain the status of Mariupol as one of the safest cities in Ukraine,’ Arkady Meshkov noted.
Tomorrow, young people will begin serving in the units of the National Police of Donetsk, Luhansk, Khmelnytsky and Zaporozhye regions. The best university graduates were awarded. Cadets and female cadets received the rank of "lieutenant" and became investigators, district and patrol police officers.
