Deputy Mayor Serhiy Zakharov has presented a phased plan for the reconstruction of ‘Peschanyi’ Beach to USAID representatives. The visualization was developed by a Ukrainian architect, a native of Mariupol - Victor Zotov.
It is planned to improve the coastal zone, expand the beach, create conditions for the movement of private and public transport. It is also planned to equip pedestrian slopes and equip the cable car.
‘We divided the reconstruction plan into four stages. Our goal is to create a comfortable marine infrastructure and attract as many tourists as possible. In season, beach attendance is about 20 thousand people a day. After the reconstruction, the capacity will increase significantly. It is also foreseen to create promenade zones and bicycle paths here,’ Serhiy Zakharov said.
The representatives of the American company ‘DAI’ approved plans for the reconstruction of this facility. Partners will consider the possibility of financing it after consolidating the necessary documents. They will then be submitted to USAID.
It is worth noting that the development of a detailed design for ‘Peschanyi’ beach has begun. Mariupol will continue to seek partners for its implementation.
