A three-day All-Ukrainian Forum "Youth Centers in Ukraine" has begun in Mariupol today. He brought together representatives of youth organizations from all over Ukraine. Mariupol became the third city in the country where such an event is held.
“Donetsk region is a leader in the development of youth development. There are already more than 130 youth centers in the Donetsk region. One of our tasks is to tell other regions and the country about the experience of Donbas, ”said Marina Popatenko, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
There are almost 300 youth centers in Ukraine in total, almost half of them are in the Donetsk region. For young people, this is a space for security, development and new acquaintances.
“Today we are glad to welcome young people who came from many regions of Ukraine. Mariupol loves to amaze and pleasantly surprise, so I am glad that young people will see how our city is being transformed. We will show our youth centers and share our experience, ” Deputy Mayor Olexander Kochurin said.
On the first day, the participants discussed issues of youth policy and discussed the opening of new spaces for young people. Similar forums were held in Kiev and Lvov.
“This forum has been held for the third year. I am glad that this year it is taking place in Mariupol. Young people from all over Ukraine have gathered here, striving to change the country for the better, ” Lilia Zolkina, head of the family, youth and mass events of national-patriotic education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration said.
