An extraordinary meeting of the standing committee on education, culture, spiritual revival, youth and sports has been held today on the basis of school No.26. The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Olexander Kochurin, Director of the Department of Education Tatiana Bratchikova, deputies, heads of schools and kindergartens, representatives of trade union organizations.
First, they summed up the results of the academic year, considered the prospects for the operation of the service center of educational institutions, raised the issue of approving the Regulations on educational districts, discussed the activities of a network of preschool institutions.
As the chairman of the standing commission, deputy Mykola Trofymenko, noted, the commission met to consider these and other issues before the June session. ‘We talked about the preliminary results of the work of the service center of educational institutions and the expansion of its activities throughout the city. So far, the pilot project is being implemented in Left Bank District, and it has shown its effectiveness. There are also plans to expand the range of services provided in this center. In general, the meeting was constructive. We are in constant communication with the executive bodies of the city council, heads of educational institutions, trade unions in order to promptly resolve all problematic issues, respond to the requests of our Mariupol residents,’ Mykola Trofymenko emphasized.
