The overhaul of kindergarten No. 32 is underway in Left Bank District. The work is carried out within the framework of the national program “Big Construction”. Deputy mayor, Olexander Kochurin with the deputy heads of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Yulia Kostiunina and Denys Klyushnikov, inspected the way the repairs are being carried out.

The total cost of the project is over UAH 97 mln. The lion’s share of the funds is a non-returnable investment by EIB. Additional financing is provided from the state, regional and local budgets.

‘This year “Big Construction” program covers four Mariupol kindergartens. This is the maximum permissible number of pre-school institutions, which makes it possible to comfortably redistribute children to other nursery schools for the duration of the renovation work. The financial resources of EIB are now expected to arrive. Our goal is to create a modern developmental space’, Olexander Kochurin noted.

Thus, nursery-kindergarten No.32 “Dyvosvit” has not known repairs since the construction of the building in 1951. To date, dismantling work has been completed, windows have been replaced, the roof has been repaired, the walls have been reinforced, electrical work has been carried out, and internal networks have been replaced. Warm floors are laid in the offices.

During the repair, modern technologies are introduced that will reduce the cost of the coolant and the consumption of electricity. After completion, furniture, necessary equipment and play equipment will be installed in the premises. All necessary conditions will be created for children with disabilities. In addition, a sports field will be equipped.

Kindergarten No.32 is the largest in Left Bank district. Due to the overhaul, the design capacity of the building will increase. One more group will be added to existing ten groups. The nursery-kindergarten will be able to receive 210 small pupils daily.

‘Mariupol is very actively involved in “Big Construction” program. It is planned that work at all four kindergartens will be completed by the end of this year’, Yulia Kostyunina summed up.
