Today the ceremonial opening of the mural about mental health “Keep your balance” has taken place in the Primorsky district, at 11v Lunin Str. The authors are muralist artists brothers Serhiy and Vitaliy Grekh.

Deputy Mayor Olena Paramonova came to the opening: ‘To keep the balance. Relevant for our time. This mural draws attention to the problem of human mental health. All elements of the drawing say that the main thimg is emotional balance. The appearance of such a bright mural in Mariupol is the result of participation in the projects “Mental Health for Ukraine”. Due to the partners for helping the City by the Sea address mental health issues’.

The director of the health department Andriy Rempel added: ‘Keeping balance means protecting your mental health. Allow yourself to experience various emotional states. Allow yourself to have rest. Do not afraid to seek help from specialists’.

The mural was created with the financial support of the Swiss Confederation at the initiative of the project “Mental Health for Ukraine” together with the city authorities of Mariupol and Mariupol branch of the NGO “Ukrainian Leadership Academy”.

The leader of the MH4U project “Mental Health for Ukraine” Haiko Königstein shared that he was glad, because now such an important project has been implemented in Mariupol.

We note that during the preparation of the project, we managed to enlist the support of the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Serhiy Magera, the residents of the house and caring Mariupol residents.

Now the wall of the nine-storey building at 11B Lunin Ave. looks exactly like this. We hope that this mural will remind the residents of Mariupol about the importance of maintaining internal balance and their mental health. It will be of cultural value for the city in the future. Enjoy and keep your balance.
