The preparatory works have begun to restore the downhill ride to the sea in the Left Bank District every week. This is one of three stages of the reconstruction project of embankment and two downhill rides.
Senior Engineer of the Capital Construction Department Ihor Radchenko noted: ‘At the moment, preparatory work is underway. The project cost is UAH 45 million. We plan to restore concrete structures, do all the processing work, expand the space, install a complete replacement of the sewer network, create automatic irrigation and plant green spaces.’
Besides, the project provides for the reconstruction of paths near the downhill ride for people with disabilities, mothers with strollers and cyclists. It is planned to plant 93 bushes and 176 trees, among which: mountain ash, pine, apple, cherry and barberry. The area will cover 10,000 square meters of lawn.
The area of the downhill ride will be closed for the period of repair. Surveillance cameras and warning signs have been installed for residents of the area. We are offering an apology for the inconvenience, but it is worth it! The downhill ride to the sea in the Left Bank district will become comfortable and it is different from another one.
