Mariupol has been visited by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Marina Potapenko and Head of the Family and Youth Affairs Department of the Family, Youth and Sports Department of the Regional State Administration Lilia Zolkina. They met with students of the Ukrainian Leadership Academy and representatives of the Youth Council, school and student government as part of the Youth Matters - Youth Matters initiative.
Nowadays youth policy is in trend. Your city is an example for other cities. In Mariupol you can see the way Ukraine is developing. Our country has opportunities for the development of young people. I am glad that I can join the development of the city's youth program,’ Maryna Potapenko noted.
During the meeting, Oksana Lashenkova, head of the leadership development center of the UAL, said that the academy in Mariupol has been operating for the second year. And the campus of the institution was opened in September this year. It has 40 students from different regions of Ukraine.
They also discussed the issue of creating "Youth of Mariupol for 2021-2025". Its goal is to promote youth policy and create conditions for the development of the potential of young Mariupol residents.
In addition, the head of the department for family and youth affairs of the department of family, youth and sports of the regional state administration Lilia Zolkina added that the state has developed a high-quality regulatory framework for the functioning of youth centers. And for the development of youth organizations, the administration is ready for cooperation and for further work.
