During the meeting of the executive committee, a project was approved to create a Green Council under the executive committee of Mariupol City Council. Anyone wishing to take an active part in the environmental life of the city can apply for participation in the competitive selection.
The Head of the Department of Environment, Energy Management and Labor Protection Vahagn Mnakatsanyan during the report said that everyone could make their proposals to the Regulations on ‘Green Council’. But there were only two of them. They are reflected in the document. After the approval of the project on the establishment of the Green Council, selection will begin. Then the members of the executive committee will approve it.
He also stressed that projects should not be directed only at industry. The issues of water supply and drainage, transportation, street lighting, recycling of solid household waste and other issues should be worked out.
