‘JazzBez’ festival has started in Mariupol. The musicians from Hungary, Poland and the United States perform on the stage of the chamber philharmonic society for the first time. Yesterday there was a concert of ‘Silhouette and Vinx’ famous jazz performers.
Mariupol residents and the guests of the city plunged into the real world of jazz. The musicians of ‘Silhouette’ band and Vinx have been collaborating for several years. During this time, they managed to achieve harmony and reach a new level of musical improvisations. This is a unique joint project of Hungarian jazzmen and an American vocalist. In addition to the mainstream that was jazz, the audience heard soul, funk, blues and bossa nova. Each performance of the song was special. The soloist played the voice catching the mood of the hall and the musicians experimented with the sound. The masters of their craft won the hearts of the audience and they were thanked with applause.
We remind you that an international festival takes place from 6 to 16 December. It unites numerous cities of Ukraine and Poland. Mariupol became a participant of the jazz marathon for the first time. The organizer of the festival in Kiev and our city is ‘Old Fashioned Radio’.
Today, as part of the festival, the second performance will take place. Mariupol will be able to listen to ‘Aleksandra Kutrzepa Quartet’ jazz band from Poland as well as musicians from the USA ‘Ark Ovrutski New York Quartet feat. Benny Benack’.
