The construction of the first “steel house” in Ukriane is continued in Mariupol. Now the work is underway to arrange concrete preparation for the foundation. The facility is being established along 11 Amurskaya Str. in the Primorsky District. Deputy Mayor Serhiy Zakharov told about this.
“This is going to be eight-storey building. The steel of the house will be produced at Mariupol iron and steel works. The time of construction is from 12 to 14 months. We want this project to become typical and was replicated both in Mariupol and throughout Ukraine,” Serhiy Zakharov noted.
The deputy mayor added that the house will not have analogues in Ukraine. During the construction, they were guided by similar objects in the Scandinavian countries. The cost of housing, due to the construction of steel, will be significantly lower than in a monolithic house. There will be 120 apartments - 60 one-room flats and the same number of two-room flats.
The house will have two elevators adapted for people with disabilities. The first floor will be practically at ground level, so it will be quite easy to enter the house - there is no need for a ramp. It is planned to create a roof terrace. The building will have a high level of energy efficiency (class B). It will be connected to the centralized heating system.
The total cost of the project is UAH 120 million. 50 of them are ready to allocate the Ministry for the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The steel house construction project was developed by the winners of the Steel Freedom 2018 competition for young architects, organized by Metinvest Group.
