#ItIsWorth supporting doctors here: Vadym Boichenko honored the best medical workers

In the run-up to the Day of medical worker, Mariupol doctors have been awarded with the gratitudes of the City Mayor. Honored certificates were received by more than 30 medical workers and an infectious disease physician of the second category Olena Bilyk became an owner of the keys of her own flat. Doctors were given gratitudes and memorable gifts from Mariupol community by City Mayor Vadym Boichenko.

‘Today you are real heroes, devoted their lives to the most noble work to save the lives and health of the person. Since the start of pandemic, I didn’t doubt in your professionalism. We designed the plan of counteraction of pandemic, gave treatment to guidelines, determined hub hospitals and supplied with all the necessary things. Today we can see the result. There is a unique statistics of disease incidence in Ukraine- 90% of ill people have recovered. All this is due to your everyday achievement and work’,
Vadym Boichenko addressed to the doctors.

Awards were given in the city hospitals №1,4,9 and the building of Mariupol Territorial Medical Union of Child’s and Woman’s health. Olena Bilyk who got two-room flat is working for Mariupol city center of prevention and struggle against AIDS. She is an infectious disease physician of the second category and she grows up three minor children alone. This present is an invaluable support to a family because a big amount of money was spent for a rented flat.

Mariupol medical workers took congratulations with pleasure. ‘It is really pleasant that municipality and community helps us at such a difficult time. I want to work more and do useful things for people because of this. I dreamt to be a doctor and, being an adult, I persuaded that it is my mission. I have been working as an ophthalmologist for 16 years and the last 6 years I am a medical director’, the director of city hospital №9 Olha Yeliseeva said.

It is worth noting, yesterday a young interne Anton Matasov got the keys to a flat. Cardiovascular surgeon, having finished the education in Kharkiv, has been working for Mariupol cardiovascular center for 3 years.
