The residents of houses on 309 Shevchenko Blvd. and 9 Aviation Division Str. now spend their leisure time on the updated playground. They believed in the local support HOA program ‘Cozy Yard’. Due to this, modern benches, gazebos and swings appeared on the local territory. Mayor Vadim Boichenko and city council deputy Sergey Mager congratulated the Mayor of Mariupol on the event.
The residents of houses appreciated the Mayor for their help in the implementation of their ideas. Due to the fact that residents have joined HOAs, they managed to overhaul the roof, install new elevators and windows, repair engineering networks. Now they also have the ‘Cozy Yard’.
‘We had neither a playground, nor benches. Our courtyards began a ‘new life’. We like it. For example, we can get together in the yard to talk and sing songs,’ Tatiana Slyusarenko says.
After the Mayor with the head of HOA signed Memorandum of Cooperation. On its basis, the residents undertake to keep their yards clean and tidy, and the city for five years will assist in the implementation of projects for the maintenance of houses and the improvement of adjacent territories.
More than UAH 283 000 were invested on the implementation of ‘Cozy Yard’ on 309 Blvd. Shevchenko. UAH 2.1 million - in the 9 Aviation Division Str., 2.These are funds of the city budget and Metinvest Group.
It is worth mentioning that in Mariupol more than 40% of the housing stock of the city is located in condominiums. This year more than UAH 200 million were allocated for their support. There are plans to conduct 101 overhauls, implement 188 mini-projects and create 102 ‘cozy yards’.
