Kindergarten №32 in Left Bank district of the city is ready to accept children. The building was renovated as part of the program of the President of Ukraine "Great Construction". Mayor Vadym Boichenko and Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko assessed the conditions of the preschool institution.
Repairs began in April 2020. During this time, both the facade of the two-story building and the interior were renovated. The total cost of the works is about UAH 100 million. The city received assistance in financing from the state, the European Investment Bank and the regional budget.
‘Due to the President of Ukraine for giving cities the opportunity to implement important social facilities and due to the successful cooperation of the state, the region, international financial institutions and the city, our children will receive new, modern European conditions,’ Vadym Boichenko said.
The kindergarten was renovated in compliance with all norms of inclusion. Three inclusive groups are already open here. Adaptation of infrastructure facilities to the needs of people with disabilities is a part of the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska "Without Barriers", which has been joined by Mariupol this year.
The kindergarten has play areas and recreation areas. The rooms are furnished with modern furniture. Due to the overhaul, two more will be added to the existing nine groups. Thus, the building accommodated up to 170 children before the renovation, after - it can accommodate up to 250 children.
‘This garden is one of the most powerful and oldest in the city, built in 1951. Finally, he received a major overhaul, and the children - the necessary conditions. This is the second project implemented in Mariupol under the "Great Construction" program. It allows the city and the region to develop even faster,’ Pavlo Kyrylenko said.
