As part of the project called ‘Ukrainian Donetsk Kurkul’ in Mariupol, a cafe in a popular European format has been opened. UAH 498 000 was allocated for the implementation of the business project. Financing of the regional budget amounted to UAH 349 000 and local - UAH 148 000.
‘Supporting small and micro businesses is one of the main areas in which we are actively working. This project is a great start of your own business. I will note that for two years of the program’s existence, only Mariupol has financed 15 projects. UAH 6 million were allocated for the implementation in total. Every year the number of participants is growing. To take part in the project, people come to Mariupol from other regions of the country,’ Andrey Sliota, head of the economic analysis of entrepreneurial potential department, said at the project presentation.
‘Free-flow’ format cafe is actively gaining popularity in Europe. Its concept is self-service. The visitor chooses the dishes and immediately calculate at the checkout.
‘The idea of the project came from his wife during the maternity leave. Having found a suitable program for its implementation, we arrived in Mariupol. We ourselves are from Odessa region. They made a business plan together, she submitted an application for participation in the competition and won it. Last week a café was opened. We are glad to have the opportunity to try to bring our business idea to life, ‘Roman Litvinchuk, the husband of the winner of the Ukrainian Donetsk Kurkul competition, said at the presentation.
It is worth noting that due to the project in Mariupol, a cheese factory, a factory for the production of soft toys, a printing house and even a shop for the production of furniture for pets have been opened.
