There is a positive dynamics of recovery from coronavirus during last two weeks. The quality of hospitalized ill people has decreased. The city mayor Vadym Boichenko informed about it at the epidemiological situation at the final briefing.
“This tells about right developed mechanisms of resistance to the second wave of the pandemic. Lockdown gave a positive dynamics. The level of recovered from COVID-19 is almost 92% today”, the Mayor declared.
The deputy mayor Olena Paramonova declared that 15844 cases of disease were turned up. 14514 from them recovered. 373 new cases of disease were fixed for the last week. 601 patients recovered that is more than 47% than the amount of ill people. There are 603 beds for ill people today. 203 are busy.
According to the director of City Hospital №1 Larisa Mamaieva, the whole complex of the events that is held in the city, influenced the decrease of the disease. The key issue is provision of the city with all the necessary things to treat the patients and the defense of the medical workers.
Today the events on the preparation of the possible third wave of coronavirus are held. The director of the department of health care Andrei Rempel informed about that.
“The repair works of the surgical department of the city hospital №9 are continued and additional beds are created. The amount of the beds will be 1000 items. This means that there will be 5 times more than today”, the director of the department said.
The deputy mayor Arkadiy Meshkov told about the changes that will be in the city after January 24. After the end of the lockdown, the work of recreation centers, shops, hairdressers, car repair shops, non food markets, financial establishments and other market participants will be renewed. There will also be the restrictions. Thus, mass events with more than 20 people will be prohibited. The establishments of culture will be able to work with the capacity less than 50 %. Museums and galleries must take one visitor per 10 m2. Sport gyms, fitness centers, swimming pools must take one person per 20 m2.
Cafes, restaurants will be able to work from 7.00 to 23.00. They will provide takeaway services during night time. The activity of night clubs is prohibited.
Schools start to work. According to the director of the department of education Tatiana Bratchikova, the epidemiological response will be held in all the establishments: screening of children, usage of disinfectant rags, mask requirements, aeration of the classrooms in the period of the breaks and hand disinfection. If some parents do not want their child to attend the educational establishment, they will be able to write the application request for distance learning.

Healthcare:
- 1070 patients with confirmed COVID-19 are being treated in the city;
- all patients are under medical supervision;
- in total, 15844 cases of coronavirus disease were recorded in Mariupol, 14,514 patients recovered, there are 260 deaths.
Transport:
- city public transport is operating normally;
- transportation is carried out only in personal protective equipment;
- daily sanitary washing and processing of vehicles is carried out. Disinfectants are provided.
Public utility:
- all utilities are operating normally, all necessary services are provided to residents;
- processing of 4905 entrances was carried out;
- drinking water is analyzed twice a day. Waste water - every hour. There are no deviations.
Safety:
- pedestrian patrolling of the city streets is continued. 48 patrols left;
- during the patrol, 83 preventive conversations were held, 12 people were brought to administrative responsibility;
- 34 people were checked who are on self-isolation.
Economy:
- the work of the municipality continues to control the work of business entities;
- 6410 objects were checked in the last two weeks.
