Events for the Day of the Elderly have been held in Mariupol. Musical groups "Blue Bird" and "Leisya Pesnya" performed in the Veselka park today. Addressing older Mariupol residents, Mayor Vadym Boichenko noted that one of the key areas in the city's development is comfort and accessibility for everyone.

“We are proud of the resilience of our grandparents who developed Mariupol. Your dedication and fortitude is an example for us. Giving us warmth, you brought love to your hometown. Today we are stepping forward, building on your experience, transforming our respect into caring. Continuing development, we make Mariupol - a city where every generation will live comfortably”,

the Mayor stressed.

Further, the performance of famous artists became a pleasant gift for Mariupol residents. Listening to motives familiar from youth or childhood, the audience actively sang along and applauded. Many songs were asked to be performed as an encore.

In addition, earlier morning exercises took place at the location. Anyone could join a drafts tournament, a game of "small towns" or master classes in Nordic walking and bachata.

Events for the Day of the Elderly will be extended on October 3 and 4 at the locations: Veselka Park and Theatre Square. The program will be rich and varied.
