Today Mariupol morning has begun with a solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of the State Flag of Ukraine. A blue-and-yellow panel of flowers was installed on Liberty Square and the Mayor Vadim Boichenko congratulated Mariupol on the holiday.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the city government, the deputy corps, law enforcement officers, military and residents. Under the National Anthem Mayor of Mariupol, commander of ‘Vostok’ united territorial community, Major-General Alexander Krasnok and the future of our city, an athlete, finalist of the world and Europe championships in diving Nika Shurda, raised the Flag of Ukraine.
The mayor told how much the flag of Ukraine means for each of us.
The meeting ended with the song ‘Ukraine is me’. It was touchingly performed by adult soloists together with Mariupol children.
