‘Neptune’ to become a unique multifunctional sports center: Vadym Boichenko

Donetsk Regional State Administration Chairman Pavlo Kyrylenko and Mayor Vadym Boichenko have inspected the progress of the reconstruction of the Neptune water basin. Investment in the project is more than UAH 90 million from the city and state budgets.

To date, the contractor has already completed the installation work. Now the facade is insulated, stained glass windows and entrance groups are being replaced. The concept of the institution will change significantly. According to Deputy Mayor Alexander Kochurin, the plan is to transform the pool into a modern sports center with gyms and fitness areas. For this purpose it was necessary to increase the building area by almost 3 thousand square meters.

‘The Neptune Pool will become a unique multifunctional sports center with innovative approaches. Our task is to create comfortable conditions for the development of sports. We are assisted by the regional administration in this area,’
Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.

Expanding the pool features will increase the number of visitors. The number of visitors wil increase to 600. After all, all conditions for people with disabilities will be created. The ramps, a special tactile floor and two elevators will be installed.

The Independence Square is planned to be reconstructed. The area will be green, a playground and a fountain will appear.

Governor Pavel Kirilenko emphasized.
