About 10 thousand square meters of paving slabs have been laid along Lavitsky Street. The length is 1.6 km. The sidewalk curb on both sides has also been replaced. The cost of work amounted to UAH 8.5 million. Mayor Vadym Boichenko checked the performed work.
Before laying the new sidewalk PU Gorvodokanal replaced more than 1 km of water supply networks. The cost of work and materials is 517 thousand hryvnias. Last year, PU Mariupolavtodor carried out major repairs of the road surface. The cost of work is UAH 6 million.
Director of the Department of Transport and Communications Vasily Klat explained that instead of paving, it was decided to put the tile. It absorbs sediment well. If it is necessary to carry out repair works - it can be disassembled and reinstalled.
Vadym Boichenko added that such projects act as original ‘activators’. Modern infrastructure generates business activity and small and medium-sized businesses are developing.
Vadim Boychenko instructed the line managers to carry out landscaping work and set up benches. The place will become a recreation area for local residents.
