As part of the development of the City of Maria cluster in Mira Ave., the working process of the decoration of house facades and the overhaul of roofs is being continued. This project aims to preserve the architectural heritage of Mariupol. Mayor Vadim Boichenko came to see the progress of work.
This year, three residential buildings are being restored in 42, 45 and 54/46Mira Ave. They are located around Theater Square. The total amount of financing from the local budget amounted to about UAH 57 million.
28.5 million UAH were allocated for the reconstruction of house 42. For these funds, the contractor will lay the metal tile, replace the drainage system and carry out thermal insulation of the attic with mineral wool plates. It will also overhaul the facade, the total area of which is more than 10 000 m2. More than 70 balconies will be restored there. Plastic windows and balcony blocks in 111 flats will be installed. The facade overlooking the central avenue will be lighted.
Vadim Boichenko noted the importance of using high-quality materials and advanced technologies in repair.
The Mayor also praised the progress of the reconstruction of house 45. The contractor has already completed the part of the roof repair and facade restoration work. Complex repair works are planned to be completed in 2020.
It is worth noting that in 2018, overhaul of the roof and decoration of the facades of residential buildings in 62, 63/1, 63/2 Mira Ave. was already carried out. The cost of work amounted to about UAH 14 million from the city budget.
