Mayor Vadym Boichenko has met with the residents of the condominiums of Levoberezhny District "Positive", "Ordzhonikidzevsky - 133" and "Alpha Luch". Together we discussed the main directions in the development of the housing stock of Mariupol and the effectiveness of the Program for Supporting Associations of Co-Owners of Apartment Buildings. Today, sharing responsibility with the municipality, residents of Mariupol make their homes more comfortable, improve the adjacent territory and open Cozy Courtyards. Supporting these initiatives, the Mayor signed Memorandums of Cooperation with the chairmen of condominiums.
Thus, in the house in the street of 3 Ukrainian Cossacks, after joining the condominium, a mini-project has already been implemented to replace utility lighting networks, a major overhaul of the roof and elevator control stations has been carried out. Besides, window blocks in the entrances were replaced and outdoor lighting was repaired. More than UAH 3 million were allocated to support the house from the city budget. A lot of work was also carried out in the houses at 72 and 74 Morskoy Boulevard: window blocks were replaced and the adjacent territory was landscaped.
“It is important for us to make Mariupol comfortable for residents. It is important that, sharing responsibility with the municipality, residents of Mariupol take projects more seriously. The reboot of the utilities sector has borne fruit. Every day we see more and more modern landscaped courtyards”,
- Vadym Boichenko noted.
Developing, the condominiums have gone beyond the entrances, having improved the "Cozy yard". At the united location, the road was asphalted, the pedestrian zones were laid with tiles, benches, gazebos, trash cans, a clothes dryer and a playground were installed.
In the course of communication with residents, Lyudmila Ushakova, chairman of the Lavitskogo 24 condominium building, addressed the Mayor. The Mariupol resident was interested in the work of “City for People” company. According to her, she is having difficulties regarding the transfer of the house to the condominium. She notes that residents want to join the association, make their home comfortable and the yard modern, but the management company does not issue the necessary documents.
Vadym Boichenko stressed that no one can restrict residents in the right to transfer to condominiums:
“The decision to move to condominiums or not is made exclusively by the residents of the house, through a general vote. Nobody can influence their choice. We have repeatedly entered into dialogue with “City for People” company. They have exhausted credit and trust. Therefore, we will legally defend each condominium as much as possible so that there are no difficulties in leaving this management company”.
Today, almost 50% of the housing stock of Mariupol is registered in condominiums. Their total funding from the city budget is almost UAH 800 million.
