In communicating with the representatives of media, the City Mayor Vadim Boichenko has told about recreation of ‘Maria’s City’ historical cluster. A number of projects will have been realized in honor of 240 anniversary of the city.

Thus, Theatre Square is being restructured and restoration of residence buildings on Mira Ave. is being done. More than 2.5 km of central avenue road have been repaired. More than 19 m2 of paving slab have been set. The total cost for city center reconstruction is about UAH 400 mln.

‘The Cluster is a project I have dreamt about. Mariupol is a city of great history. There are interesting places that are needed to be told about. Interesting people lived there and they should be spoken about. We should save our cultural and historical heritage’,

Vadim Boichenko admitted.

In communicating with the journalists, the City Mayor lifted the veil and told how Theatre Square is going to be seen. He added that not usual installations will be set in the square and more than thousand of green areas will be created. A modern playground will be located there. Vadim Boichenko is sure that there is no other analogue in Ukraine.

‘The square is going to be European. We have broken a new ground and changed the philosophy. We want to show Europe to our youth, actually we want to show the way we can create it in our city on our own’,

the Mayor emphasized.
