The first lesson of the Summer Municipal School 2021 has been held today. This year, public utility enterprises have opened their doors for young people: “Mariupolteploset”, PU “Green Construction”, “Kommunalnik” and the Tram and Trolleybus Administration. After completing the internship, the most active participants will be invited for an internship. Deputy Mayor Olena Paramonova wished the youth to receive a lot of useful knowledge and prospects for further development.
‘Every year we conduct training covering various fields of life in Mariupol. This year it is a career guidance event aimed at making young people better know the functions of public utilities and the goals set by the society for them,’ Olena Paramonova noted.
20 participants were selected in total. These are students of secondary specialized educational institutions who see their professional future in the development of Mariupol and have an active civic position. The training program provides for familiarization with the peculiarities of the work of utilities and the acquisition of practical skills. Within four days, young people will be able to communicate with the first leaders of all PUs and visit locations to personally see all the work processes.
‘My goal is to live and work in Mariupol. “Municipal School” is an opportunity to gain practical experience and undergo an internship in order to find a decent job in the specialty after graduation,’ Serhiy Titor, a student of the Velikoanadolsk Forestry College said.
Educational institutions are the participants of Mariupol professional agrarian lyceum, city electromechanical technical school and professional college "PSTU", Velikoanadolsk forestry college. They cooperate with Mariupol City Council and municipal utilities of the city and act within the framework of the signed Memorandum.
