The family of a four-month-old Dasha Romanova has turned to the appointment of Mayor Vadim Boichenko. The girl was born with congenital anomaly of the liver structure. To save a child, an expensive liver transplant operation is required.
Parents explained that a related transplantation cannot be carried out in Ukraine. Such kind of an operation can be done in Italy. But its cost is EUR 117 000 and it is over the head for the family. Some money has already been gathered by the parents but this is not enough.
‘At present, the damage of the structure of the liver is slow, but it is still progressing,’ Svetlana Makarova, the director of the health department, explained.
Vadim Boichenko promised not to leave Mariupol family in trouble. He instructed to outsource the issue of providing financial assistance to the forthcoming session of the city council. Besides, it is necessary to ask for help the city's partners.
But all the same it is not enough for the whole amount of money. Dasha's parents hope for the indifference of Mariupol people. Everyone can take part in saving a child's life.
