Utilities are actively preparing for festive weekend parks and squares of Mariupol. Mayor Vadim Boichenko personally inspected the progress of work.
Parks of the city take 150 hectares. Now work is underway on their improvement. They prepare amusement equipment, repair monuments and busts. They carry out a revision of the motors of the fountains and clean the bowls. In addition, they have already carried out felling and pruning trees, taken out the fallen leaves. Aerated lawns, mowing grass, processing of greenery. Installed dry closets, and also delivered sand to playgrounds. They plan to plant more than 40 thousand of flowers.
According to the head of the green construction public utility, Piotr Cheker, a seasonal pruning of about 900 trees and 3.5 thousand shrubs has already been carried out in the City Garden.
‘About 60 tons of last year’s foliage have already been exported. There is a painting of shops and urns. Together with the employees of Gorvodokanal, the pumping equipment of the fountain was activated. An inspection of the rides has been carried out. Starting tomorrow, the first batch of annual plants will enter the park. We will begin to actively develop the flowerbeds,’ Piotr Cheker said.
Vadim Boichenko noted that comfort comes first. He also discussed the problem of the more frequent acts of vandalism with the audience.
It is worth noting, April 27 all parks of the city will be opened. Thus, at 12.00 in ‘Veselka’ park a festive entertainment program starts. A fountain with musical accompaniment of a chamber orchestra will be launced on the European Square at 18.00.
