According tothe Prime-Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman the development of passenger and freight railway communication with Mariupol is a top-priority direction of region’s development. ‘Ukrzaliznytsya’ has been tasked with working at this direction and they are going to report about real rights of the case.
Vladimir Groysman said that the railway infrastructure is going to be developed to improve the region’s economy. For the last few months train-handling capacity in Mariupol direction has been increased from 16-17 to 21 train pairs. In general this will allow to uplevel the production.
"The improvement of railway communication with Mariupol is to be done in two directions. The first is passenger railway communication and it is necessary to change the time of traveling and the comfort. I understand it and I permanently control it including replenishment of the facilities by new and refurbished carriages. The second one is metallurgical complex which is producing for the region’s economy and it is necessary to provide an appropriate logistics as well’", - the Prime-Minister emphasized.
