Today the development of winter sports as hockey and figure skating has been started in Mariupol. The Mayor Vadim Boichenko and the president of the Donbass hockey club Boris Kolesnikov laid a capsule for the construction of an ice palace in Levyi Bereg district.
The Mayor laid a capsule with a letter in the future foundation with Boris Kolesnikov . Maximum opportunities were created for children in Mariupol. After that, the Mayor said: ‘Hockey to be in Mariupol!’
The guests of honor made a joint photo with children - future pupils of the ice arena. Boris Kolesnikov expressed confidence that athletes will be grown up in Mariupol and they will glorify their native city to the whole world.
Sports clubs will be located in Levyi Bereg district and professional children's coaches will work with children. They are planning to create a special ‘social card’ that will allow children to attend free lessons.
‘We will try not to delay the construction and capital works will begin in January. By the new school year, Mariupol residents will have received the first of two ice complexes that we have planned for the city. Next year in September we want to play the first official hockey championship of Ukraine in the history of Mariupol,’ Boris Kolesnikov stressed.
