Vadym Boichenko began his speech with such statement at the annual Conference for Effective Governance in Kyiv.

What is Mariupol today? Everybody used to hear that it is a big industrial city. The war aggravated the situation. But we focus on development and reform. Reforms have affected all areas. We transform the economy and identify the vectors of its development. Together with the community, the five-year strategy was developed. The document is aimed at changing the city and changing people's minds. Mariupol should become a favorite city for its residents. Therefore, we pay attention to the needs of our citizens during the decision-making process. Because the city consists of people who live in it,
Vadym Boichenko, the Mayor of Mariupol, said.

The mayor of Mariupol stressed that there was a false stereotype of the city that is in a state of war: “We are grateful to Pavlo Klimkin, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, for bringing politicians and ambassadors from different countries to Mariupol. They saw with their own eyes that our city is safe. Mariupol was brought to life. Investors began to cooperate with us “.
