Snow and layers of ice are going to be cleaned from the roads and the pavements by ‘Kommunalnik’, ‘Avtodor’ and ‘Zelenstroi’ public utilities. Heat supply system has satisfied a hydraulic test. Yesterday the City Mayor Vadim Boichenko was reported about it during the meeting of Executive staff for preparation to the winter period.

There are 66 heat boiler stations in the city. 64 of them are ready to the season and two more stations are finishing modernization works. The heating is going to be supplied to 2511 blocks. All the main and neighbourhood heating networks have satisfied the hydraulic tests.

According to ‘Teploset’ head, there was no problem with getting the gas limits as it was last year in Mariupol. The heating will be supplied when daily average temperature is lower than +8 degrees Celsius for three days. The hot water will be supplied in 7-9 days after it.

‘As a Minister of infrastructure Gennadiy Zubko said, the debt of Mariupol and other cities are going to be restricted. It is necessary to receive nominations for gas’, the City Mayor admitted.

‘Kommunalnik’ is going to clean 166 km of main roads of the city from snow and ice. ‘Mariupolaavtodor’ and ‘Zelenstroi’ are going to serve 323,6 km of secondary roads and 1087 m2 of the pavement. 77 items of equipment are going to be engaged that is 6 items more that it was last year.

‘The roads of Central and Primorskiy districts as well as all the pavements of the city are within the ministry of ‘Zelenstroy’ public utility. ‘Mariupolavtodor’ public utility will effect the cleaning of the roads of Levoberezhniy and Kalmiusskiy districts and they will follow the conditions of all bus pavilions. The cleaning and winter-sanding of the main roads, streets, driveways in case of rain fall are planned to be effected for 4 hours’, the Head of the Department of public and municipal infrastructure development Igor Babek admitted.

There is a stock of winter-sanding material for the roads and the pavements that is going to be enough up to the end of the year. The agreement has already been signed to supply an outstanding material and its delivery is planned to be effected by November, 30 of the current year. More than 200 tons of winter-sanding are planned to be purchased in total. 6 tons of bischofite have already been purchased.

The priority of service of motorways and pavements has also been defined with district administrations. Clearing of the central city roads, hospitals and schools entrances will be effected firstly.

‘We are meeting this heating season easier than it used to be. It is because the experience of interaction with our partners and ‘Naftogaz’ has already been formed. Gennadiy Zubko has already approached in a businesslike way because he understands a special status of our city. As a whole, Mariupol is ready to the heating season and there is a certain action plan in case of deterioration of weather conditions’,
Vadim Boichenko summarized.
