After establishing the average daily air temperature below eight degrees in three days, central heating will be provided in Mariupol. The city is ready for cold weather. This was reported to Mayor Vadim Boichenko during the meeting concerning the readiness of utilities for the autumn-winter period.

The key task is to ensure reliability in the organization of the heating process. All infrastructure should be fully prepared for the winter. I hope that coherence in work, taking into account previous mistakes and increasing technology will give a good result,
the Mayor noted.

On the basis of the Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure and the district administrations, they organize the headquarters for the interaction of city services to eliminate the effects of bad weather.

‘Four logistics centers based on utilities will be opened: Kommunalnik, Green Construction and Mariupolavtodor. The whole city is divided into zones that are assigned to utilities,’ said Igor Babek, director of the department for the development of housing and communal infrastructure.

According to him, a number of measures has been taken aimed at ensuring timely and high-quality preparation of the city's housing stock for work in the autumn-winter period. Out of 1885 houses, 1777 have already been prepared for the heating season, which is 95%. Repair work was carried out to restore the roof and joints of the houses, replace the engineering networks of central heating, hot and cold water supply. Preparations for the rest of the houses are ongoing.

Metering devices are also installed. Today, their number is 1809 units. This is 99% of the total number of houses.

Igor Babek emphasized that all utilities are provided with the necessary equipment. Compared to 2015, its number increased by 67 units. Today the city serves 86 cars.

The heads of utilities and the chairmen of the district administrations reported on the measures taken. In addition, they presented a plan for preparing for the autumn-winter season.
