In Mariupol school number 47 in Kalmiusskiy district, the overhaul of the building is being completed. On September 2, the pupils of the institution will sit at new desks in the updated classrooms. Mayor Vadim Boichenko came to check the readiness of the facility.

More than UAH 18 million from the state budget and 44.5 million from the city budget were allocated for the work. The total budget is almost UAH 63 million.

The Mayor was given a tour of the school by the director of the school, Nina Vorobey. She showed classes, assembly and sports halls.

‘We have insulated the building, replaced window units and all networks. Carried out the repair of the roof. Then the repairs inside the building started. We are now installing furniture and equipment,’ Nina Vorobey said.

New classrooms for elementary school students have already been delivered to the classrooms. Soon the cabinets will be equipped with multimedia equipment. A projector will appear in the assembly hall, among which educational films will be shown.

Vadim Boichenko noted that now the city has a Strategy for the development of the school system. For example, educational institutions of the third level will be focused on preparing future students for universities in our city. And the 47th school will become the methodological center of the Kalmius district.

‘The key is not just to make repairs, but to fill the schools with new meaning. Our task is to give children a modern high-quality education. This requires highly professional teachers. This school will become one of the centers where teachers can improve their competencies,’
the Mayor stressed.

In addition to building repairs, the reconstruction of the sports field is underway. All the necessary conditions for playing football, basketball and workout will be created here. Modern anti-vandal simulators have been installed. For this UAH 16.9 million were allocated from the city budget.
