The program ‘Public budget’ helps citizens to make Mariupol even better. With its support, you can implement projects in different directions. ‘Culture’ is among them. Eight initiatives have been implemented: from transforming statues to the historic camp.

It was ‘Public Budget’ that helped to realize the dream of the head of the National Theater ‘Theatromania’. Thus, an interesting project ‘The Choice is Yours’ has appeared. This is a theatrical art exhibition with the participation of 12 live statues of transformers. It took place in the basement of ‘Youth’ Palace of Culture and in ‘Vezha’ cultural and tourist center. It involved the actors of the national theater. Their make-up and costumes are impressive. With their art exhibition they raise acute social problems of modern life - from the harm of smoking to gender inequality. This is a unique project. In the autumn it is planned to restart the exhibition.

The ballet performance The Nutcracker was a real discovery. It was attended by children with disabilities. Small actors collected notices on the scene of ‘Ukrainian House’ and ‘Youth’ palaces of culture. The idea of the play belongs to the head of the Mariupol school of classical choreography. The project is designed for three years, during which the composition of the main characters will change. So that more children can play in it and feel like a star.

‘Mariupol music live’ project is also realized in Mariupol. This is a series of programs about musicians of Mariupol. Records of six studio shootings are posted on the YouTube channel. The guests of the program were violinist Ostap Shutko, quartet BEL'CANTO, leader of the Tillottama group Vladimir Butt, composer, poet and musician Nikita Good, X-factor star Alexei Smirnov and the team of guitarist Dmitry Proskurin THE ILLUSION.

It was possible to plunge into the historical camp together with the project ‘Nomads’. Its initiator was the Historical Reconstruction Club ‘"Azov Druzhina’. At the location it was possible to make a trip in time. Everyone could shoot an archery and take part in a master-class crafts.

Besides, due to the ‘Public budget’, the festival ‘Ukrainian ornament - Ukrainian patterns’ was held for the first time in Mariupol. Residents expected a bright concert of 15 amateur choreographic groups.

These projects are far from all the ideas that Mariupol citizens were able to implement for the grants of the ‘Public Budget’. It gives a chance to realize the dream and take part in the development of the native city. More information about participation in the program can be found at communication meetings or at the Center for the provision of administrative services. Accepting applications will last until October 15.
