The festival ‘SkhidFest’ will take place as part of the ‘Public Budget’. The goal is to acquaint the residents and the guests of Mariupol with the interesting world of the East.
The festival is planned to be held in May. Funding from the “Public budget” to the project is more than UAH 30 000. In particular, a decorative Chinese screen, office and thematic souvenirs will be purchased.
‘The theme of Asian culture is very popular now. Mariupol youth are interested in countries such as Japan, China and South Korea. I have been cooperating with children for a long time, so I decided to organize this festival at their request. In addition to professionals, adolescents will take part in the event. For them, this is an opportunity to demonstrate their talents to a wider public and to find friends by interests,’ author of the project Ilona Arkhangelskaya said.
The festival will be remembered by showing Japanese films and anime. There will be master classes of athletes, craftsmen, artists and connoisseurs of oriental culture. There will also be a fair where you can taste oriental cuisine.
