Mariupol has met with the representatives of the City Council in the Development Fund of Mariupol. The ways of development of our city and the possibility of implementing projects under the program of the “Public budget” were discussed.
‘The main goal of the program is to provide an opportunity for Mariupol citizens to take the initiative in creating social projects. And also suggest that residents themselves determine which projects will be allocated from the city budget,’ the deputy mayor, Mikhail Ivchenko said.
Thus, the Public Participation Budget program changes the process of managing and allocating budget funds. Due to the open voting, Mariupol residents choose which of the proposed projects are important for the city and need to be implemented. With the help of the Parent Fund, the material and technical base of educational institutions of Mariupol is updated. Mini-projects allow territorial communities to develop by combining the resources of the City Council and an active public. The support of HOA allows you to improve the condition of the housing stock. Its residents have the opportunity to carry out major repairs in apartment buildings by co-financing.
Today in Mariupol, the directions of culture, sport and tourism are actively developing. According to him, Mariupol residents are offered to submit creative projects from May 15 through the Center for the provision of administrative services. Thus, there is an opportunity to realize festivals, fairs, competitions and other events that are interesting for Mariupol citizens.
During the meeting, the representatives of relevant departments responded to questions from residents and helped to understand the qualification of projects. They also talked about the timing of the submission and implementation of projects as well as their financing.
